Before the end of CES (Consumer Electronics Show) 2022, InWith Corp. announced its new soft contact lenses. The company also said it will be made public.
However, the exact date has not yet been confirmed. At present, various smart technologies are created to make people’s lives easier. Smart contact lenses are one of them, allowing people to have real-time information.
This innovation is different from virtual helmets or glasses since a smart contact lens is lighter and less bulky.

According to CNET’s latest report, InWith’s new smart and soft contact lens can provide details on a variety of things. These include the speed of a car, the correct direction to your destination, and other information that requires a gadget to display.

A prototype of the matrix based on microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) that can optionally be inserted into the retina of a blind patient is presented. The idea, funded by a three-year $ 9 million grant from the Department of Energy’s Office of Biological and Environmental Research, is to create 1,000 points of light through 1,000 tiny MEM electrodes.

âYou might see things like: What is the speed limit on this road? Which direction am I going? Where is the next exit and how many kilometers? Said Michael Hayes, CEO of InWith Corporation.
Besides providing essential information, he also said it could help people with presbyopia (farsighted people).
At this time, the company has yet to release a demo as InWith is still awaiting approval from the Food and Drug Administration.
The tech company expects approval to occur in 2022. However, that would still depend on the FDA ruling.
Mojo Vision also unveils its own smart contact lens
InWith isn’t the only company working on smart contact lenses. TechCrunch reported that Mojo Vision has partnered with Adidas to make a new smart contact lens.
This new portable device is specially designed for people who want to be in good shape. Mojo Vision’s smart contact lens can do this by displaying information related to physical activities.
