Alternate and regular meal driver
Volunteering at Meals on Wheels is one way to support homebound seniors in the community and make a positive difference in their lives. The trained volunteer collects meals from the Seniors Center and delivers them along a predetermined route directly to the homes of several seniors. Once they are finished, the drivers return the delivery packaging items to the Senior Center.
Volunteer in the kitchen
Kitchen volunteers help pack meals for delivery to homebound seniors and serve and clean up after meals gathered at the Senior Center. Hands-on training is provided. Volunteers can help one to two days a week or as a back-up. Volunteers should be able to stand for one to two hours. Volunteers can enjoy the camaraderie while helping others.
