Neighborhood Sun, a community solar energy company making solar energy accessible to everyone through its advanced community solar energy software platform, Sun Engine (TM), today announced a merger with Astral Power, a supplier access to locally produced clean energy, based in New York.
The combined company will operate as Neighborhood Sun with the Astral Power management team joining Neighborhood Sun under the leadership of Gary Skulnik, CEO. Astral Power investors, including the co-founder Wilson Chang, will join the board of directors. The combined platform manages and has acquired more than 130 MW of net-metered community and virtual solar renewable energy projects and customers, enough to power more than 15,000 homes across the country.
